Pictures of my new to me yokos on the truck. I had them leave the center caps off, I hear it adds like 10 hp for each cap removed. :)

Love the rig. I agree about the Carli ball joints, they would be the best just wish they made them to fit my 2nd gen. Seems like when you lift above 3" up front you are looking at needing some adjustable control arms. There is an outfit in Arkansas-http://www.dodgeoffroad.com/ DOR- DJ is a good source for suspension parts. I will be installing new control arms from them this summer.
I ended up getting a KORE front leveling kit -smoking deal at a yard sale- and after the switch it was like night and day ditched the puck, and went on with the rest of the front end upgrades- mainly an adjustable track bar- NAPA and a DOR steering brace.
Good advice on the exhaust system as well I installed a MBRP 4" and that gives a sweet note as well as eliminating any turbo lag.
The BD short shift is an ez install and once you get used to it real sweet shifting.
My truck came with a Ranch hand bumper that already had a receiver hitch up front, and once you lift it the angle of approach is pretty good.
Next up is bilsteins for the back, a different rear bumper and maybe an add a leaf for the rear spring pack.
If you don't already your going to love this rig off road. Mine's a bit long- Quad cab 8ft bed but it will crawl up all kinds of stuff

So apparently my wife does listen when I drone on and on about what u need for my truck, and she got me this for Christmas. .. I need to program it, and now I need to really get serious about taking the technician exam. I also got a metal bracket to hold the radio, and I'm planning on buying a ram mount of some sort for the metal bracket as well...

Well crap... truck is at the shop getting oil change and tires mounted, and upon inspection they found my passenger side balljoints are going to need replacement, and my drive shaft carrier bearing is on its way south as well.* That's 3 times now for the carrier bearing.. and I guess it's time to upgrade ball joints.. carli or dynatrac?
An aluminum one piece driveshaft is available for your truck. Benny @ www.allmoparparts.com might be able to help. They discount parts 30%. I got in on the Dynatrac freespin and bj deal. $300 off on the two items total. Now if the shop I use could just slow down enough to install them.

I'll check it out, but last time I looked, Mopar did not offer a 1 peice shaft for an NV5600 long bed quad cab configuration....

So, today was spent at CJC offroad in bellflower, ca getting new carli balljoints and a set of Thuren 2" springs, as well as installing some thuren sway bar end links I bought on another forum. My balljoints on the passenger side were shot, so it was time to upgrade...

Not that this is being read, but... for my own edification...

Here's a few pictures I snapped this morning. As you can see, with the 2" springs and no adjustable trackbar, the driver's side sticks out a little bit more than the passenger side, but not too bad. I will be getting an adjustable trackbar as my next mod anyway...

Here is an older "before" photo:

Difference in the amount the tire sticks out on each side because of the stock trackbar being used currently:

Older Thuren Endlinks, no longer being made. Picked them up for a great price from another forum!

Next up is getting the truck aligned, which will happen on Tuesday. I'm taking the day off of work to go to a Dr. appointment, so after that, I'll head to Firestone for an alignment, since I paid for a lifetime alignment for the truck last time I was there, so it'll be FREE!!

It's been a while and I've done some stuff to the truck.. most notable so far is this...

A few preliminary photos.. headed down to Leitner designs early this morning and Bernard installed this for me while I did an outstanding job supervising. It looks a little bare because I haven't bought any accessories yet because I am trying to figure out how I want it set up. More pics to come...

Big thanks to Leitner designs for the install, and it was great to see you guys and Atlas again!

So, after talking with my inlaws, and coming to the conclusion that the camper does not fit my preferred method of camping (even the wife agreed she preferred the relative ease of tent camping as opposed to loading the camper on and off the truck..) the camper will likely go up for sale, but I did just place an order for this, to compliment my leitner designs acs..

Cvt mt. Denali. It's huge, yes, but so is my truck, and there has been talk of expanding the family yet again, so I wanted to go big the first time.. I went back and forth on the pros and cons of an rtt setup and finally decided that for us, the pros outweigh the cons. Our decision to go with cvt was easy.. #1, the tents were 20% off right now, and 2, I've seen the quality of cvt tents up close. Happy to become part of the cvt family.

Not that anyone is reading this, but I'm going to post anyway..

Got this behemoth onto the truck bed rack.. all went pretty well with the exception of needing to go to the hardware store for longer mounting bolts... all in all it worked out great and the family likes it!

Thanks.. my only complaint, is the lower annex appears to be a large pain in the butt to install.. so much so, that if I need extra space, I'll more than likely just bring a ground tent....

That's the same experience I've had. And I didn't install the floor, only the sides. It would be great if we were staying put for a week or even 2 days but I would have to mount the rtt on a trailer to make that worth it. We usually move daily. I am glad to have the option to use it though.

Yeah.. most of my camping consists of 1 or 2 nights at a time.. with some travelling site to site, so going to the trouble of setting up the annex just isn't really gonna be worth it...

One of the guys in my group always sets up his annex- even for a late night arrival and leaving the next morning. It's not the HUGE annex like yours though. He'll set it up if it's just him or with his girlfriend.

It's up to you in the end.
