Disabled Explorers Reno Fundraiser Picnic, February 13
Disabled Explorers will be bringing the Wheelchair Accessible Van for Expeditions to the Reno, Nevada area in February. We've got a community meet and greet planned for the evening of Saturday, February 13.
In a bold attempt to generate donations to our non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, we are also planning a backcountry four-by-four picnic during the day on Saturday, February 13.
We'll take about a half-day to visit an interesting and scenic location not far from Reno. If you would like to see the WAVE 4x4 wheelchair van in the dirt, this is a great opportunity.
To minimize impact, the total group will be limited to six vehicles. There are currently four slots available for additional participant vehicles. Those four slots will be available to folks who make a cash donation to Disabled Explorers.
Here's how to snag one of those four slots:
Make a donation to Disabled Explorers. Make it quickly. And make it generous.
We will invite participants from the list of people who donate to Disabled Explorers beginning at noon (Pacific Standard Time) tomorrow, Tuesday, February 2, 2010.
Every 24 hours, we will sort the list of that days' donors. The largest donation of the day goes to the top of the list and gets an invitation to join our backcountry picnic run. When we've got four confirmed participants we'll announce their names and send them information about when and where to rendezvous and what to expect.
To donate and get a chance at one of the four participant opportunities, just use Paypal to email your donation to donate (at) disabledexplorers (dot) com after noon on February 2. Please include your e-mail address and a telephone number so we can contact you.
We'll start contacting the top donors beginning February 3. We'll continue each day and quit when we have four confirmed participants.
So donate early. And be generous.
