    Default Willman's '85 FJ60 Land Cruiser

Well.....I got the bug.....FJ60 bug that is.....

Disclaimer - Don't join mud unless you want a Land Cruiser!

I have been saving up for gears for my '01 Tacoma when this bad boy came across. The guy was asking $1,850 for it. The motor needs some work. I think one of the valves is stuck. The motor runs...just missing one cylinder. The interior is in great shape. Only 165K on the clock. A little rust but nothing that i can't fix

Due to the major engine repair needed.....I was able to score this for $500 beans...

    On with the pictures:

    The Plan:

    • Keep it stock and fix up the 2F motor
    • Fix all rust and do a roll on liner on the outside
    • New tires

I hope my Tacoma doesn't get jealous!

Nice steal!!! All I needed was another buddy with a sweet 60 to make me miss mine. I'm starting to really contemplate selling the JK and getting a cheap commuter to be paired up with a 60 for my fun times.

Nice! I had some of the same rust issues behind the driver's wheel as you do.
    Interior looks good.

Nice! I also have an itch for a 60 that I have not itched yet. Did you get that off KSL?

Are you kidding me? $500? Your real name must be Nic "sleeps with the fishes" Wilman for making an offer that couldn't be refused...

Great score! I wonder if I found something like that if I could explain it away as, "Look what followed me home, honey. Isn't it cute?"

    Thanks guys!

I found her on KSL.com. The guy was great to deal with. He gave me 15 years worth of service records, 3 original keys, and the lot tag when it was new...I'm the 3rd owner...The rig was bought by his brother and he took it over 10 plus years ago.

Tomorrow I'm going to have my in-house shop mechanic see want i need to do to get her a 100% again....Wish me luck!

I think i want to keep her as stock as i can for the most part...

    More of my plan:
    • H55 5 speed
    • Ranger overdrive high/low (V8 time!)
    • 33x10.5 tires on these stock rims
    • OME 2-3 heavy lift
    • Custom roof rack by me
    • Rear bumper by me
    • ARB front bumper
    • ARB lockers
    • Warn upright winch
    • And the list goes on....

I figure by the end of the week the plan will be locked 80 series axles, coils, a 1HD-T, dual cases, and 39" pit bulls

    Nice buy for $500!
