    Welcome to the madness......
    Dave

Toyota Land Cruiser 80 Series.....it's a sledgehammer approach to a thumbtack world.

I have never seen the need to have favorite quotes. Now that I think of it, people usually quote me.

I have a bunch of junk that is not any better than yours.

    Thanks guys!

I found her on KSL.com. The guy was great to deal with. He gave me 15 years worth of service records, 3 original keys, and the lot tag when it was new...I'm the 3rd owner...The rig was bought by his brother and he took it over 10 plus years ago.

Tomorrow I'm going to have my in-house shop mechanic see want i need to do to get her a 100% again....Wish me luck!

I think i want to keep her as stock as i can for the most part...

    More of my plan:
    • H55 5 speed
    • Ranger overdrive high/low (V8 time!)
    • 33x10.5 tires on these stock rims
    • OME 2-3 heavy lift
    • Custom roof rack by me
    • Rear bumper by me
    • ARB front bumper
    • ARB lockers
    • Warn upright winch
    • And the list goes on....

    • New tires

I figure by the end of the week the plan will be locked 80 series axles, coils, a 1HD-T, dual cases, and 39" pit bulls

    Nice buy for $500!

Very nice, Nic. Great deal ona sweet truck. I too have been pining for a 60 or 62. You stole that truck! Looks very clean inside too. This will be fun to watch.

With the H55 do you really need the Ranger OD? Perhaps going UD, but their UD ratio isn't all that great. Would be good for splitting gears, but won't really work all that well as a 'doubler'.

Or is it just to get more levers up there? If that's the case, then you also need a PTO driven winch.

That is very true, but having a Land Cruiser is never a bad thing! Nice score.
