    Because the States are all about fluff...

    There's no economic justification for redesigning the Ranger for USA.
    An stripped (oops, I mean de-contented) F150 with an Ecoboost engine
    (maybe even 4 cylinder version) will be cheaper for Ford to build and
    sell. Too bad, but US automakers have to be more careful with their
    cash in 2010. The market for pickup trucks is still fragile, despite some
    recovery in sales.

    OZ Ford knows where it's at... common rail diesel and a cab-chassis option. Wake up Ford, this is a perfect answer to small business that are looking for an affordable fleet truck here in NA. Way better than that transit garbage.

    Ford doesn't have to do a major redesign, just use what is available overseas. I am sure there are LHD models available in some of the Euro markets.
