These first few are cheating a bit being taken in a wild life park rather then the wild.
Cow Elk
Arctic Wolf
Timber? Wolf
Particularly ferocious looking Grizzly
And his friendlier cousin
Cubs! Good lord they are cute...
These here bison are a little less tame, but being in Yellowstone isn't too different from a wild life park.
For this one I was quite admittedly too close. We had stopped at a pull out, came around a tree/bushes, and this dude came around the other side not 5ft away...I about pooped my self and shimmied around the other side of the tree trying to hide

I was sitting on the porch this evening with my dog and a hawk flew in and landed in a tree about 20 feet from me. He wasn't paying attention to me so I thought, quick run and grab the camera! Then my dog barked and I saw why the hawk wasn't interested in me. He was hoping this guy would drop his dinner and give him a shot at it.
He cruises across the front yard with his trophy catch...
Up over the rock wall....
And off into the desert to enjoy his summer evening meal......
The rabbits have been going after my landscaping this year so both the bobcat and I are now happy.![]()

^ Those are incredible!
These are a couple from my backyard, from when a band of cedar waxwings recently raided our Juneberry tree.

Pathfinder, simply amazing. I have not seen anything better in NatGeo. Would love to learn more about the shot environment and equipment in which those were shot. Especially the first
nwoods, these were shot in a workshop with Andy Biggs and Marc Muench at the Singita Wildlife Reserve in South Africa just east of Kruger National Park.
The real credit goes to the trackers and drivers that allowed us to get close to these animals.
They told us we did not need more than 200mmm, but I really did not believe them, and the truth is that I lost more images to lack of a close 24-105, than I got with my 400.
