I wouldn't stress out too much about it. The web site says, "The IBS products are manufactured by the majority on fully automatic placement robots in Switzerland. This ultramodern manufacturing guarantees highest quality and a short manufacturing running time. We are able to handle larger orders at short notice because of our high stocking policy." The instruction manual also has prominently displayed "made in Switzerland" as well as the packaging.

Mine only displays the charge of the alternator, perhaps 3-4 green/yellow dots. To see the charge of the batteries you must hit the button...

Mine is placed low so I have to be actively looking at it in order to see it, though it is not bright at all.

Correct. That would be annoying but they only light when the red button is pressed and then for only a few seconds. The bottom voltage charge display and linked buttons stay lit while in operation but it isn't an issue.

After looking over the various options available, I installed an IBS dual battery system in my 5th generation 4Runner. I have the gauge in my glovebox so that it is out of the way but viewable when I want to look at it. I'm impressed thus far with it. I use an Optima yellow top as the 2nd battery. An ARB fridge is wired directly to it with an ARB wiring loom, and it seems to keep things cold consistently.

    Cheers,
