It has potential. Make sure to regularly add content. Also, make sure to be consistent with font sizes. You might want to compose the text in Word or something else and then paste into the site.
Thanks everybody. Please be sure to post up suggestions. I have never done this before and any ideas would be great!

'Your gear doesn't make the trip but a passion for seeing the world makes the journey.' - Me!
Go for it! I've had a blog now for three years (over 600 posts)- it's been super fun and I've made tons of connections (including gear sponsorships and endorsements) and a little cash as well- all things that I never intended to happen- it just worked out that way.
Here's my tips:
1. Be consistent: If you stop posting, people will stop looking.
2. Lots of photos and captions.
3. Respond to every comment that gets posted.
4. Post original content as much as possible- if you're just rehashing what everyone else puts up then you loose the "value" of your blog.
5. Write clean. Take time to re-read what you post- spelling, grammar, all that stuff.
6. HAVE FUN!
I use blogger as well- if you need tips or tricks on how to use stuff, feel free to email me (john@paddlesurf.net) and I'll do my best to help you out. I started out with zero internet experience and learned it all "on the job".
Watch out though: If it grows, it will begin to consume you- writing, gathering photos, editing posts... it all takes tons of time.
I'll be watching- and I'm always hungry!
I have posted some recipes while on the road. The recipe names are generally right next to the entry name if you look down the Archives.
Feel free to try them, use them, whatever. They are templates really... there is never a fixed recipe...
Be well... Ara & Spirit
"The Oasis of my Soul" Our Journal, 6th Year under the Stars, full time...
"Smugmug" the Photos...
"One-Pan" Pan recipe e-store...
Sounds like a good Idea. Following.
I live, I Ride, I Am....Nevermind....... It's a Jeep thing you wouldn't understand

Sorry, I haven't used Word in a few years since I bought my Mac. I was just trying to throw out an idea so as to not have different font sizes in the same document. Those kinds of things just look sloppy on the page.
OK Beau...time to add the link to your blog in your signature!
