Thanks, and thanks for making the pictures show up. The rigs on here are amazing. Roamin--I really like the way your Grandby turned out. And the Tacoma rigs are mighty slick.
Just got our Flip-Pac for our new Ford F-150 Super Crew short-bed; haven't had a chance to camp in it yet, but did manage to replace the two incandescent bulbs with LED's to minimize battery drain. We'll be using it with our travel trailer as a campsite off-road, where the trailer can't follow. The short-bed still allows room for plenty of storage while allowing a relatively easy parking job in the city. These pics were taken in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park (CA).

Wow! I love your setup. I had an 85 4Runner until just recently. I had explored the options of putting a camper on it or modding a flippac or something onto it, but deemed it a lost cause after finding zero info on it being possible.
One thing, how well does your rig take to the highways? By that I mean, I was lucky to hold 45 - 50MPH up I-70 with only about 50 pounds of gear in the back in my 4Runner...

Thanks. Well, I haven't tried it yet to be honest but I imagine it'll be quite a bit slower than that. I think I'll have to use 2nd gear, and I don't like going over 35mph in 2nd. I'm used to it though...the family camper I grew up riding around in is 22-RE powered and good chunk heavier with the class-C camper body on a dually rear axle. It's usually 2nd gear most of the way up the I-70 passes.
That's alright, it's faster than biking, and you see more than those who are flying around on the roads.
Nate--nice hardside. I don't think I've seen one that bolts on like a shell before. Looks like it has all kinds of opportunities for interior mods.

Beer is good food. Beer makes you feel the way you ought to feel without beer. Beer is the reason I get up every afternoon. Beer is living proof that God loves us and wants to see us happy. Beer is water that has reached it's full potential.
Thought I would post here as well. None of the picture below show the final solar panel set up I just installed last week or the custom side hatch and interior stainless counters. search my username posts if you want to check them out. thanks-
