Default Neat CJ based pickup idea

Start with a CJ of some flavour (bonus points for Nissan SD33 diesel powered CJ10a), add a M101 trailer bed. Discuss.

Chances of me sourcing a SD33 powered one is close to zero; more of a gas guy anyway.

    I'd probably do a stroker.

Nah... that's an old CJ10 (nearly as rare as an FC)... throwing a POS Chevy motor in it is just plain sacreligious... Now a Nice Mopar Poly-head 318 or and injected 5.9 out of a ZJ.

Personaly I think it'd make a great truck for a 4BT swap... Gassers just don't do it for me out on the trail. Diesel is where it's AT

This one's still under construction. Haven't decided what engine/drivetrain will go in it yet.

CJ10a - Since in the States it was likely an aircraft tug.

In Australia they got a full pickup CJ10a. If you do some googling for images you can see the type of box it was shipped with.
