    Default Great little flashlight option

I picked up a Strion, made by Streamlight. This is a small little light, about the size of a Surefire G2 or 5P or the other 2-cell lithium lights. Except the great thing about this little guy is that it uses a rechargeable lithium ion battery. Runtime is an hour per charge, just like most of the lithium lights, with 100 lumens and adjustable focus. I bought one kit with one light, AC and DC chargers, and then a second flashlight-only unit. This way I can have one at home and one in the truck. Being lithium ion, it comes with a smart charger so you can leave it on the charger full-time without damage. I highly recommend it.

I like Stinger Flashlights. They are very high quality. I haven't played with that particular model yet.

    I have these:

Carry this on my duty belt. 15,000 cp, fairly small, tactical on/off.

In work vehicle. 75,000 cp, long as maglight but thinner and lighter.

In personal vehicle. 4AA alkaline, throws a nice beam, 4 hours at full 40 lumens.

I carry the rechargable stuff for work only I like to have lights for home and vehicle that can use plain old alkaline batteries.

I'm constantly amazed at the quality and performance of the newer flashlights (and they keep getting better).

The Surefire Nitrlon is a great bet for a lightweight, fairly inexpensive ($35) light that uses the 3v lithium batteries:

Your local drugstore will hit you for $3-$4 a pop for the 3v lithium batteries. Botach Tactical

Sells the 3v lithium batteries in 20 packs for $19.95 and 50 batteries for $.79.
