Uniden 520 Help

Last night I ran my new coax and got my antenna installed only to find my CB appears to be dead. It powers up but I cant get any volume out of the speaker. Squelch and volume have no effect. AHs anyone craked these open before or have any suggestions?

If it's not new( warranty return), chuck it in the trash. They are so cheap, it's not worth it unless you Just like working on electronics.

Make sure the mic is pluged in. Some radios will do that without the mic.

i had the same problem. plugged in the mic and the sound came back

I've been having problems with my Uniden 520 also. When I transmit, it sounds horrible and scrambled on the other end. I'm not able to get any any type of feedback from the radio. I'm only able to hear others when they talk at a very close range.

Based on what others are saying here, I think I've confirmed I have a bad mic.
