    Default NashvilleRover's Wife's New G4 LR3

OK, So we let the Classic LWB that my wife was driving go. We got what we paid for it a year ago as trade ... so I felt like we drove it for a year for free ... (so to speak).
We needed something that would carry more folks, be more reliable, and generally serve as more of the family mobile ... as well as would let us take long family trips and expeditions ... in more comfort and speed.
(I have the 89 classic and have yet added a 95 Disco DI 5 speed — more on that later).

So, this is what we have added to the fleet as my wife's truck:

    2008 LR3 G4 ( 1 of 10 ) - actually used in qualifying trials and then G4 event scrubbed due to economy.
Factory Roof Rack, Two Bike Holders, One Kayak Holder, Rear Lamp Guards, Rear Ladder, Graphics, Front Warn Lights, Full Skid Plate, Warn Winch (recently replaced under warranty), Complete LUX Package Black Leather Interior. Center Console Fridge. 7 Seats, Nav. (as original to the competition) Tan OEM waterproof seat covers (thanks to Ben Edmonson!!), neww Goodyear MTR tires.

Already took a shake down trip and loved the truck!

    Very nice Dendy!

Do you get a lot of questions about the graphics? I can imagine getting "are you in some sort of race?" when you're parked at the grocery.

We have only had the truck for 3 weeks, and so far, ... more folks asking questions than we can really politely spend time answering!

I got that already on my first camping trip with the trailer. 2 groups of strangers walking by came up and started asking questions.

Have you considered removing the decals? I couldn't stand the attention.
This thread is about how snobby and elitist ExPo has become, not about EE's forum. Please stay on topic while bashing this forum on this forum.

This is a one (1) of ten (10) truck. Defacing the truck by removing the decals would de-value the truck ... in a big way (as far as enthusiasts are concerned).
My wife was not happy about the attention at first, ... but now, ... she points out every time someone is being obvious about pointing out the truck.

I though that would be the case, it doesn't blend in at all.

When I had a MINI Cooper S I had more random come up to me to see the car than I have ever seen. Even the old Landy doesn't draw as much attention.
