Hand made awning for 4Runner

Can someone give me ideas to make an awning for my 4Runner?
Does anyone make anything like this before?

do you have a roof rack?

I have an idea that would make an awning pretty simple.... Put a bunch of hooks along the edge of the roof rack...spaced to match the gromets in a tarp. carry 2 appropriate length posts on the rack (telescopic would be best, but whatever works)

just hook in your tarp to the hooks....put your posts down, and tap in a line & stake.

alternatively you could add a support for the posts on your nerf bar / rock sliders so that you can just insert the posts there and not be forced to pound a stake into the ground.

cheap.
easy.
fast.

Well, hello again,

After a litle "market research", i decide to make some changes on my project:

I found this telescopic length post and i'm going to mount it on the right side of the rack. It have from 1,7 meters to 3,0 meters lenght.

In the sketch, you can see 3 steps:

A) The closed awning it's perfectly discreet. It's like it even isn't there. I'll make it in black, the roofrack colour.

B) The telescopic post is extended, ready to suport the tarp hooks.

C) The awning it's ready to use

Well, i think you can imagine the rest. Just take a look at my project and give me your opinions.
Later i'll put some images of all details of this process.
