M2 surplus cooler?

I recently came across a surplus cooler that looks like a 5 gallon fuel can, it will fit in the same mounts according to my friend who has it.
It is marked M2 and has a side hinged lid with a cool latch and folding steel carrying handle.
He bought it many years ago at a surplus place, he thinks that it may be British.
Does anyone know where I can find a few of these things?
It would be really cool in the rear bumper jerry can carrier (with 1 fuel can and 1 water can) to augment the fridge.
I've looked everywhere and am having no luck.

Sounds cool I want one too. I've been in the Land Rover forums and never heard of such a novelty.

It is a British Army Norwegian thermal hot & cold box!
I found them on e-bay UK but no luck in the US.

I'm re-naming this thing the uber-cooler, it works great as a stool too.
I want some.
