SO to add to the confusion (sorry) I have a question or two about the gaskets and spouts.
I'm in Iraq and have been...uh, just looking at the cans that are laying around everywhere. From what I cna tell there are Water and fuel. Mostly made by Scepter and either green or tan. Of all the ones I have seen that say simply fuel..none distinguise between gas or diesel. I swear I can't tell a black from a gray gasket...they all look black to me! And knowing I'm prob the only GI around here that would even think about it...will one work for both? As in will a Viton one work for gas and diesle while the black (rubber?) one would get eaten by gas...? What am I missing?
Also, I found...ahem, a couple funnels/spouts/whatever...and they are both black and about 1 1/8th at the skinny end. Are these supposed to have gaskets as well? I don't think either do and one is still new in the package.
Howdy,
I am in the market for RED, YELLOW or Orange MFCs.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Spouts, gaskets, caps, and MWCs are all readily available from a number of sources for those that are looking.
It seems the MFCs, and specifically the non-neutral colored versions, are being harder and harder to find.
Thanks,
Greg in Austin
