Well this is about two to three years out, but we are in the planning stages. After this trip me and the wife are moving to South Africa so its going to be special for us.
The plan is a quick drive to Rio Grande with a stop in San Salvador. Ok maybe not that quick of a drive. I have a small group here in Pensacola of four vehicles so far, we are planning on driving to NYC via I-95, accross Canada to Anchorage, then heading to down San Salvador driving the Panamerica route. In San Salvador my wife is probbly going to to drop off from the group to stay with her family. I am planning on the group staying there for a few days to repair any issues, relax, and get everything back in order. From San Salvador we go to Panama, ship the trucks to Colombia and we fly to meet them. We might get delayed for a few days but I have evrything arranged to stay with family friends if that happens. After we are back in our trucks we head south to Rio Grane. This part is hairy. For most of the trip we are on dirt roads, and some of the poorest and most wartorn areas of the world, other parts we wont know we are out of the states. Chile and Argentina are a cake walk, very nice roads. I figure we will want to spend a week in Rio Grade then set back. Some of you may opt to ship your trucks home and fly, those of us that dont do that head back to San Salvador, then home.
So are you interested in joining us or maybe want to sponsor us? If you supplie us with free/discounted stuff I will be glad to plaster your companies logos on our rigs and wear clothing with your logos. Please email me or PM me if your interested in joining us or sponsor us. We need more trucks and groups to join, so if you dont want to to that Canada and NA part of the trip just meet up with us along the way. We have people of all expirences coming so dont be afried to make this your first overland.
