Left- North Face Something or another 2 person? This is my old tent. Couldn't be easier to set up and pretty light and cheap too.
Middle- Marmot Pulsar 2 person ( this is mine, I am 6'4'' and the extended head and foot box are awesome)
Right- Big Agnes Lone Spring 1Person Tent

And here they are after a couple drinks and we decide to play with long exposure shots.

Love the thread and thought I would contribute...

I have gotten into hammock camping the last few years. It took a little getting used to sleeping in a hammock, but I sleep better outdoors than I do indoors now. You couldn't pay me to sleep in a tent now :) but I absolutly have to I have a Springbar Outfitter 3 person tent. It's big. It's bulky. It's bulletproof. The hammock is a Warbonnet Blackbird with a Warbonnet Superfly tarp. Top Quilt and Under Quilt insulation is from Jack are Better. Ridiculous warmth and comfort. I highly recommend trying one out!

Got to use my new Alps Mountaineering Chaos 2 tent a couple of weeks ago. Went up to the Taylor park area over Tincup pass. First time setting it up. Did so in the dark with a LED worklight. It uses 1 pole and still setup in under 10 minutes in the dark. With my son and I in it, we were pretty warm. Broke down quick too. Only complaint...Need a sleeping pad bad!

We have an ARB Simpson III.
Currently looking to replace the ladder with a telescoping type. To say the ladder it comes with is terrible would be paying it a compliment. It's junk.
Rest of the tent is awesome though.

I've since sold this Camping Lab rtt to a forum member, so back to inside van sleeping for time being. It's mounted to factory roof rack to keep as low profile as possible with six crossbars (two tent mounting) to help distribute load.

The Camping Lab tent was really bigger than I require and took up too much roof space. My preference is to open over the rear hatch and have enough space for solar panels so am looking at something a bit smaller like the Tepui Kukenam Sky and adding a full length awning/screen room onto the passenger side.

If you're serious about a Kukenam Sky, I know a guy. ;)

Haha, yes I know, I was going to pm you when closer to reality.

I see the Kukenam Sky is out of stock, what's your time frame and any changes/updates in the works?
