Less weight will not double the lift.
Use MD springs for general daily driving on pavement and light off pavement driving.
If you plan on getting a winch and full bumper go HD as MD will sag with the additional 150-200lbs in front of the front axle. Don't go HD unless you need to.
I run XHD, a load spring, which I wouldn't recommend unless you are fully committed. It's for a heavyily laden vehicle. (I have front and rear bumpers, sliders, dual winches, compressor, inverter and other electronics. Add the tools and parts and we are well over 1k additional lbs.
I netted 4" from that lift before piling all the other stuff on. I now sit over 3".
