    Couple of questions:
    1. Did your door open against the Gas Can Holder?
2.If you were to change any thing with your installation of the Gas Can what would it be?
    3. Reading the post on the build thread you posted about Hadley I have to ask why you went with the Stebel Horn?
Hi RMan. Thanks for the kind words about my work on this camper. I hope we cross paths, it is a small world. Remind me what kind of truck you have, and I will keep an eye out for ya.

    Answers.
    1. Yes. I think this is the case even on the wider models, e.g. Hawk, but I am not sure.
    2. So far I am happy with how I installed the holders, they are solid and should hold up over time.
    3. The Stebel horn was an impulse buy, and I always like having a project. It is way louder than the stock horn, people know when I am honking at them, and I like that. I would do it again.

    Installed the carbon monoxide alarm.

It is mounted, wired, switched (if it goes bonkers it can easily be switched off), and activated/tested.

Mounted it as high as possible, and as far away from the hob as possible. It is also supposed to be in the open air as much as possible, and while it is in a corner, it is in an open corner.

This should be the last of the wiring in the camper. I can now finish installing the electrical panel, and close up the wall that I opened up.

I think I will add an extra layer of insulation in/on the wall that I opened. It will be the wall that I will spend most of my time against, as it is the wall next to the stealth bed couch. So it will be worth it to have it more insulated than the others.

Installed the new door holder, and this one works great!

I was a bit worried if the door trim would be solid enough for mounting the bracket to. But it is solid, the aluminum box flexes before the door shows any flex.

After a couple of tries, I think I have found a solution for a replacement door holder. I just ordered it, so time will tell if it fits properly.

I am enjoying the variety of places I am ordering pieces for the camper from. The door holders are coming from the Horse Trailer Accessory Store. Link There are about a dozen different door holders on that page, in a variety of sizes.

    Hadley,

Looks like you mounted the "keeper" portion of your new door holder to the trash/other bin?
This solution could be something that would work well for my set up also.
Is the keeper portion a spring loaded pin mechanism?
Does the "arm" portion of the holder stay put/not bounce around on trails?
BTW, the Tardis is coming along quite nicely...

I have an extra door holder set with a 4'' arm. PM if you are interested in it.

I did think about mounting it with a small piece of rubber behind the ball so it would not float freely. But I decided that if it does bounce around it would be okay as the arm is only 2'' long. I might change my mind at some point and put a small piece of rubber behind the ball to stiffen up the movement.

    Thank you.

Love to see some update shots of the interior next time you get out that trusty camera.

    Hi Nic,

Long time no see, as I have not been around the Tacoma forum for a while now. I keep myself busy reading everything that comes through the Expedition Camper section.

Thanks for the kind words on my camper build.

The interior is still in a state of ''one step forward, two steps back'' but it is starting to come together.

A FWC is a great thing on a Tacoma!

Continued working on the propane system, but hit a wall. Need to order more parts that are not available locally.

So I switched over to working on the floor!

Ended up finishing the floor, along with a fair amount of the L track and trim. No other pictures at this point, more to come.

Drilled just over 30 holes in the floor. Yikes!

Most were for the L track, and 8 of them were for the two storage totes that will mounted in place on the floor. Everything is still looking like it is lining up the way I had planned with the interior layout. The plastic storage totes will be used to make an extra wide couch area, kind of like a futon couch.

Then I ran out of SS tee nuts. No SS tee nuts within 120 miles, so another internet order and wait for parts to be shipped is in order.

Down to about one month before we leave on the first longer trip with the camper. Just want to have the electrical, plumbing, propane, and floor finished before the trip. Getting close. Having Phenomena for three weeks did not help my timeline.
