German 98 Blazer build

Hmm, I wish I could do anything on my car without the need to get it inspected and get pulled over because of illegal parts... ;-D

Let's see what's next, France or Italy...

Got a lot of work done today:

First a small shower cabin under the rtt:

Then I started with the winch mount:

Let me hear what you think...

Looking good! Love the RTT on the blazer (we can all dream). Is the winch plate aluminium? I just finished a winch mount on my blazer. Similar approach, though I mounted mine on top of the frame because of the body lift.

Keep the pics coming, love the scenery.

What a day...

First I made a new cover for the rtt...

Then I finished mounting the winch:

Then I went out for a test drive and this happend:

My ghetto car lift:

A lot better without the rear sway bar:

Finally tested the winch:

Very clean installation for winch, gut gemacht. I lived in Ulm for 4 years, beautiful area. Also bought and exported an Unimog while I was there.

Pete

This is why I LOVE this site..Most 4X4 sites would trash the little blazer as NOT being offroad worthy, but here you can build it into what you need and it works and your happy..good on ya !!!

It`s so funny, in the USA the Blazer is a little car, and I know that because I was there for a while, and here in germany it`s a hell of a car... :Wow1:
Everyone asks you why you need such a big car... :coffee:

But for offroading I like the size, I wouldn`t like a bigger one...

Nice build. My parents are both from Germany. I am in Phoenix Arizona. I am the only one in my family born outside of Germany. hehe

I would love to come visit that beautiful country.

Very nice build, I'll be sure to follow your progress. Did you use a set of car headlights for your auxillary lighting on the roof rack? If so, that is a pretty cool idea.

I also think its kind of neat how you are in Ulm, I'm only a few hours away from one of your sister cities - New Ulm, Minnesota, USA.

Hi,
yes it`s a set of corner light`s/fogs combo, I had left over from my totaled Subaru Legacy GTB. Works really nice...

Didn`t know about that sister city, we have Ulm and Neu (New) Ulm here...
