I gave a lot of thought to those expansible vans. There's some good info on them over at Steel Soldiers.

The problem I kept seeing was that the floor and roof of the expanding sections folds to vertical when traveling, so you can't mount anything to it. The walls are the usual place for a head and a kitchen, but if the wall moves, you need to find a different place.

Looks awesome, reminds me of "Universal Soldier".

And I thought my Suburban would be a tight fit on trails... but then again, I bet that thing is built with bashability in mind!
