I hope the poor dog gets more room this time.
His space will be a bit deeper, and a bit taller, but probably not much wider.
He will also get a nice little step stool to help him get up. The LC has the tailgate, where the runner didn't. He only had a small ledge, to sort of skip off of to get up and over the slot for storage beneath his deck. In the LC he can use the tail gate. This will be a much better and safer design for the dog...especially when he gets older.
Really though, he's as happy as can be, and doesn't "need" anymore space. I wouldn't say "poor" dog...he is pretty happy and lucky to get to go on the trips. Just think of the dedication it takes of me to design the whole rear cargo area to include a special spot just for him. That shows his importance. Many others would probably just leave the dog at home...

The 80 series doesn't have rear air and the 2nd row passengers stay comfortable....Can you shut off the rear AC and see how it feels in the 2nd row? If enough air is getting through, then chuck the rear AC unit....

Never worry about biting off more than you can chew....your mouth is probably bigger than you think it is.
Ha, most people would kill to have rear AC! Your dog would be happier.![]()

Yeah, I'd like to see more!
There's more to come, but I've been building a shop this summer to do the work in. No more driveway mods! Body lift and sliders are the first projects once the shop is complete. It's up, but no siding and no power.

As promised, once the shop was done, the body lift was next. Well...the shop's not "done", but close enough that I could move it in and get this little job done. I've updated page one with some new updates.
I'm also well on my way to collecting what I need to install a front ARB locker and replace my weak 2 pinion gear. While I'm at it, I am going to pull my leaking steering rack for a rebuild and install it with some new poly bushings. This is the big project for this season and it starts with dismantling this weekend!
I also pulled the whole cargo build out. It was a good test version for the season, now I'm redesigning for V2.0. Even this season it will likely be temporary, but the design is getting really close. This time around I am designing it so that it can transform into a 1 adult and 1 kid sleeping platform. Usually it's all five of us, but I like to take special trips with the kids separately also.
