Default Rear disc brake conversion kit?

Is there anyone who sells a rear disc brake conversion kit for the Defender here in the US? I lost my brakes coming out of the White Mountains last year no fun. Also looking for a domestic X-brake company or at least someone who imports it. I have looked around but so far no dice.

Oh wait, Keith............doesnt he sell a kit for the conversion?

check with Keith, or substitute a D-I rear axle as they are plentiful, inexpensive, and easily up to the task

The rear axle on my 130 is a Salisbury rear end with coils that are much larger, wider, extra HD coils. I had a D1 up until last year in addition to my 130, it was pretty amazing how much larger the 130 coils were compared to even the D1 extra HD coils. I have a email into Keith, he does some fine work and has helped me out in the past hopefully he can point me in the right direction.

BTW some nice looking trucks you have sold there at The Rover Barn.

I'm assuming you read this thread:

    and this one:

    You'll need two of these

Ah! I knew I'd seen an actual step by step somewhere!
I'd seen it several years ago, and found it again linked from the aulro thread.

    Kevin,
Switching the rear springs for an axle swap is as simple as unbolting the lower spring cup off of the axles and bolting the larger on. Takes 5 mins with an impact. I recently swapped a salisbury out for a rrc lwb rear axle. Very straight forward swap if you don't have any bolts rusted to the inner metal sleeve in the bushings. Keith was offering the rrc rear machined brackets the rest of the stuff you can pick up on discoweb from the usual suspects cheaply enough.
My 130 has inner and outer rear coils-yours has a single spring ?

+1 on Keith - the other one - and I seem to recall George (RDS) having Salisbury rear disc bits too.

As Doug said, simply change the bottom perch. Also, do a little research and ask Keith, but my $$ would be to do the swap to D-I axle and upgrade shafts to Keith's, and I believe the strength over the Sals is tremendous, makes upgrades to lockers cheap and easy. Always many ways to skin a cat, but look at the whole picture- both planned and unplanned.
Also, thanks for the kind words- loved my 130, and it had the inner/outer spring setup on a Rover axle, aka D-I -the factory setup at the time.

I looked through Lucky8's website last night because I saw that they carried them but didn't find it on their website, it's a little cluttered and difficult to navigate, I'll give him a call.
