Okay, so what's the difference between top terminals and dual terminals? I have a 2004 Xterra and it says that both of these batteries work for it. They're the same price too.

Top terminal only has posts on the top.....dual terminal has both side terminals and top posts, common with the Optima

Winches are not to be installed on side terminals or the smaller top terminals. Yes people do it but it's not recommended by the manufacture. Potential fire hazard is often stated by manufacturer.

+1! The side terminals/small top terminals can handle the relatively quick, high draw from starting a rig, but are not designed for the long, heavy draw of a winch.
