Definitely not something you will ever see on the market again in its current configuration. Because my own personal number of projects exceeding the number of fingers on both hands and the fact that all the major tinkering is done, I am offering for sale my Cummins Powered 1965 FJ45 SWB removable top pickup. This vehicle was used in the first Carbon Neutral Expedition (http://www.flickr.com/photos/2316788...00942456/show/) and was featured at the 2010 Overland Expo in Arizona.
Here is the build list for this truck:
–Brand New Cummins B3.3 install w/ intercooler
-rebuilt fine spline axles with 3.7 diffs and disk brakes up front
    -shackle reversal
    -Saginaw power steering install
    -power brakes
-Advanced Adapters rebuilt NV4500 with Rebuilt Toyota split case transfer case with Marks Gearing
-5 new Cooper ST 32 inch tires on new 16 inch rims
    -powder coated the frame
    -second fuel tank
-install Vintage A/C and heating system—A/C portion of the system not completed
-New rear bumper with tire/fuel carrier
    -vintage ARB front bumper installed
-complete stripping of the bottom of the cab top and bottom with repaint
    -all new body mounts
-new suspension components including OME 2.5” lift springs
-Custom rear canvas topper with two rear zip in doors—one for allowing the bed to be slept in.
-powder coated dash with new Auto meter gauges
-all new wiring including upgraded headlights

And even though I won’t be able to enjoy it, but do to my perfectionist side I have recently installed and am in the process of completing the following:
-rear Aluminum tank with heater for running SVO
    -new ARB locker/diff for rear
-new ARB compressor for rear locker
-new custom seat mount with new bucket seats and tuffy box
The only item that is not a 10 on the truck is the paint as it was painted by the previous owner and is being driven regularly—however the truck still looks amazing. The truck has less than 4000 miles on it since its completion so you are basically buying a “new” truck that can travel at 75MPH comfortably and get 25+ MPG running on several types of fuel. I am sure I am leaving some of the features of the truck out—however the build can be seen here:
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/2316788...71906294/show/
The truck is located in Central Oregon with an asking price of $65,000.00. Might be a sticker shock for some, but start adding up all the parts plus the work that has been completed and you will see that the price reflects the quality put into the build. I will update the photos of the above link when all work is completed on the truck in a few weeks. This is a turnkey truck and I am not looking for any trades. Feel free to ask questions. Thanks Scott

Actually switch both axles out for newer version with fine spline parts--so all the original equipment was sold off.

Default VW Syncro Doka possible part trade

Well, for some strange reason I keep looking at VW Syncro Dokas (double Cabs) so I might consider a partial trade towards the purchase of the Toyota if you have one with minimal to zero rust. What can I say I have a weakness for strange 4x4 vehicles.

Will be updating photos soon with the new seats and ARB equipment installed.

The truck has disks on the front and drums on the rear with the appropriate master cylinder.

    Default Seats and Locker done

I have completed the seat install and rear locker---what an improvement. Last item on the check list is to install the bed and rear tank filler neck for the new aluminum heated tank.
