To the OP - depending on where you are, I have a fabricator here in SoCal that can build anything.

He built my Rear bumper for my original Excursion and now the one on my Rover here:

The company is Castle Fab and the owner is Jon Roohk - their number is 949-916-6229 and they are located in Irvine.

I've been using Castle for about 10 years now and Jon does top notch work. Tell him I sent you - Jon Holder.

Wish he was out here in Texas. I would love the setup you had on your old EX on mine. I have the FF rear bumper and not the RA. I wonder if he would come out here. lol

Yes

Short story: http://www.ttora.com/forum/showthread.php?t=154621

I am more than willing to forward our e-mail transactions as well as the paper work I will be filing with the small claims court if you would like. I also have many links to threads of people who had experiences just like mine. There is a reason his Better Business Bureau rating is an F.

You may save yourself a few hundred dollars and get a semi-decent product (no arguing their product finish is below par, even for people satisfied with Kyle). But know that by buying a product from a business that has ripped off many people on dozens of forums you are supporting his ethics and business practice. :coffee:

I bought a rear bumper with tire carrier from KMA for my '73 FJ-40 about 10 years ago. I didn't have any problems with them, and they even mounted it for me. The bumper is still in great shape.

It sounds like people have had trouble with them recently, though.

This is what a friend posted about him here http://www.expeditionportal.com/for...ighlight=kennesaw+mountain+accessories&page=4
"There is no doubt many negatives to KMA customer service. I know this better than anyone since Ive know Kyle and wheeled with him for over 9 years. As for the bumpers the only way to get exactly what you want is to be very specific in writing if you can, and it is much easier for the locals.
He has built several bumpers for me and I have built my own at his shop.
The big thing is to tell him and be very specific and say it over and over agian, he may be a jerk but we are all grow here and if you cant take a salty welder then your in the wrong sport. That being said he does need to make an effort sometimes.
Hell Iv know him for a long time and he has messd up bumpers for me.
All in all you get what you pay for and if you dont mind making the small final touches and dont mind the salty additude they are OK bumpers, but no doubt he is not good with people, that much I agree with.
One of those you got to get and know him then things are cool.
cool doesnt mean good or bad..... just cool."

I went and visited him today and talked about my dealings with him face to face (four hr drive for me round trip). He said he had no clue of what I was talking about with my previous dealings with him. He did say he would build my sliders though and they should be done around the end of October. He would not say however if the money I sent him before (which I received NOTHING for) could be used to pay for them. How much do I trust him? I took a recorder in there and have our entire conversation saved so that when/if I have problems with him in a month I'll have even more evidence for the court. I also stopped by the court house and grabbed paper work for small claims court so I don't have to go down there again if something goes wrong.

The people who approve of his product and business dealings seem to be those who deal with him face to face. However, for every good review of his products you find 2 or 3 bad reviews. That should tell you something.

That is all. :)
