    Default WANTED: Job/Internship/shop experience...

I am a recent college grad looking for a job in the building/ fabrication of expedition vehicles. I hold a GMAW 989 certification with exposure to Stick welding, a minimal TIG. I have extensive experience with off-road driving and wilderness skills. I am willing to relocate. I am dying to get some experience. I dont care if its working on mogs, jeeps, tacos, rovers, race trucks, hot rods. I want in, and I work hard. If you've got an open position in your shop give me a chance to show you what I can do. Thanks. PM me if you are interested and I can shoot you a copy of my résumé.

    Cheers

    Brad

I know of a shop that doesnt build or fab expo vehicles, rather works on British vehicles (MG, Triumph, Jaguar, Rolls, Rover) but he is looking for a mechanic if you are interested. N Carolina, Raleigh area.

Would get you a foot in the door and from there you can hope over to the numerous builders in the area.

Your best bet is going to be contacting fabrication shops directly. Play up your fab experience as well as your certifications, to differentiate yourself from everyone else that went to school and go certs.

Thanks for the link, but this guy says a "Must" 2-5 years fabrication experience and it is "essential" to have CNC and CAD experience. Which is pretty much what everyone is telling me... I appreciate the link though.
