    Couple of recent shoots

Model was lying on the rocks about 10' below me with natural light used to light her. Canon 5D MarkII with a 24-70mm lens used

Model was standing about 20' in front of me so I'd be zoomed in a bit which would throw the background out of focus. Natural light used with a bit of fill bounced from a reflector being held by my wife about 10' in front of the model. Shot with a Canon 30D with a 70-200mm lens

Couple that hired me for their engagement announcements. Shot on a local island with late afternoon light used. Canon 5D with a 70-200mm lens

Then to get them laughing and lighten the mood, you always have to have any model or models bust out the Zoolander "Blue Steel" pose during EVERY photoshoot...LOL

I hope you got the photos of that first model the way she wanted them. She looks like she could tear you up if she was not happy.

    Nice shots.

    Nice shots.
HAHA!! She had just taken 1st place in the regional Miss Fitness award and wanted to award herself with some nice shots because she wasnt sure if she was going to keep competing.

Now she's decided to continue and she's working towards the Nationals.

Just goes to show you that you shouldnt be complaining about not having enough time to stay in shape. She has two young kids, she's a doctor with her own business and still finds time to work out 7 days a week to stay in that good of shape!

I think she's about as close as you can get to having a perfect body without being overly muscular. If she's not pumped up, she just looks like she's in perfect shape unlike the body builder girls who always look roided out.

She told us she's having trouble finding competitions that she can enter that are all natural. I give her total respect for being that fit and being 100% natural.

I agree with you on that one. Don't want to touch any roids and you have to respect her dedication to achieve the level of fitness she has.

Well done Ryan. The eyes really pop in the first one. I like them both.

Started out as a completly underexposed test shot in manual mode on the Rebel. Note: It takes me approximately 1000 test shots to figure out the correct manual settings since I forget them every time I turn the camera off. Stupid old brain.

It looked pitch black on the display and when uploaded on the computer. Out of curiosity I opened the image up in Photoshop - grayscaled it, tweaked the light levels, and contrast adjustments. Second note: I have no idea how to use Photoshop correctly.

In the end it's a grainy black and white that I really like. Guess that's all that matters...
