Good to read you finally installed your turbo after you have been talking about it for years
What pressure are your running when its all done?

Great idea with the bench and the metal platform. I bet your kids will love it. Glad our old bench has a second life!

    Ever evolving...

Battery box neatly hidden under the bench. False floor leveled with bench base still needs to be built.

    New back bench in place.

And flipped back so I can kick my feet up!

And my secret location for the wine corkscrew ;-)

    And 12psi Felix...

    Crush time!

We are leaving in a week for a quick one month road trip down Arizona, Moab... It's been very busy lately but it's all coming together. Firstly, I got my trailer pretty much completed. Here's the build link:

This weekend I'm finishing the sliders and the rear cargo box/sleeping platform. Plus a few more...
Here's just a couple tease pics.

I need more than 24 hrs in a day!

Last night with a good buddy we ended up working on my truck until past midnight, wish I didn't have to get up at 5:30 this morning! We adjusted the valves and cleaned all the injectors. Glad I did before heading out on the trip as one injector was very sticky. And what a difference now, noticeably more power or at least way more responsive.

I also removed the auxilary fuel tank I had on the roof and mounted a new custom one under the truck. It had been bugging me for well over a year so what a relief!

And a few more pics on the rear cargo, bed platform... The first few are just some close up for the track details.

And what it starts to look like. I'm telling you, if we had 26hrs/day my draws would be done! :-)

I finished the drawers just before heading out to Expo, had a good 3 weeks to test them all out and they performed great! It sure simplifies life to have those in the back!

    Nice Patrol.

Y60 is one of the toughest. To make her expedition car is very wise indeed.
BTW I imported my Patrol from JAP as well. Actually mine was taken to UK and used in some farm in Wales. Then they've left her with open window in the middle of the field for 1,5 year with the windows wide open. So I actually imported the iron scrap.

If U come to UE take LHD conversion under consideration. Here it cost app 1,3 t$

    Man it's been a while!

It's not like I haven't been playing or working on the beast, just got distracted with new projects I guess...
But just to catch up a little

    Interior storage at the back:

New LED bar on the bumper and moved the HID's on a roof bar mounted in front of the large roof rack. And a few friends...

Move my air tank in a more protected area, against the frame, built an extra fuel tank, sliders...

Some good LED back up lights
    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1362889037.245744.jpg

And some switches for all these new lights

And not mine but same truck and cool picture!

I probably won't start new projects, just finish the loose ends as I'm thinking to sell the truck comes summer time. I'm heading to Expo in Flagstaff if anyone's interested to meet up or have a look at the truck. I'm also fairly confident I'll be able to have it imported in the States as I'll have a proper VIN number attached (not the short Japanese one that can't be entered in the system)...

    Anyhow, see ya soon maybe!

    Cheers

Hey, he should be the one treating me with Sarmale! I'm better at cooking poutine...

I have absolutely no idea how and if adding a turbo impacted my MPG. The truck runs on free used veggie oil so I never pay attention to fuel consumption but I can tell you it drives waaaaaaay nicer! What I really need to get done is building a proper airbox and custom snorkel, some interior finish and I'll be able to call it a completed project!
