Under normal use, you should see at least 100K from a unit bearing. Depending on the brand, the replacement price should be $3-400 each.

I would say 100k if you are running stock tires and not wheeling it or towing alot with it. If you are 50 to 60 k is about all you will get out of them. You can by a kit to run conventional bearings in that axle it runs about a grand but worth it if you ask me.

Who makes the kit? What are the signs when they do start to go bad? Do you have some warning ? If so how many miles approximately? The unit bearing has got to be one of Fords lamest ideas. And I do know there are lots of manufacturers that use them in cars. But in a 4x4 WTF!!!

    More like $1989.

Tire size & height, wheel backspacing, and load all affect the life of these bearings.
