Default 05 Focus with 94 Toyota pickup running gear

This masterpiece of backyard engineering is appearing on eBay. The vehicle is a 2005 Ford Focus body, and 1994 Toyota 22RE 5 speed pickup running gear. The 4x4 suspension is custom; independent up front and 4 link in the rear.

The auction expires in a few hours. Bidding is up to $3800. Here's the link

I would totally drive that... Though maybe it's the angle, but doesn't it look like 1st, 3rd, and 5th would be a very tight squeeze?

Absolutely, that thing looks great. Helluva grocery getter there. And right, doesn't look like it makes the gears.

    I would drive that.
It looks like a fairly well done project. I do have a soft spot for well done
conversions like that. I saw an early 80s Cadillac Sedan on a truck chassis
that looked totally proportional with reasonable size tires.

Maybe it's just my inner redneck.

Looks like it could be a cousin of the Local Motors Rallye car. Very well done, very unique, and seriously cool looking project. IMHO that looks better than a a backyard Camaro / Corvette / pickyoursportscar mounted to a lifted pickup frame.

    Neat find!
