Chile

I reached out to an old friend down there yesterday, mostly because Chile being in the news made me think of her. I expected her to say the volcano was on the other side of the country and instead she said her hair was grey with ash and there was smoke and ash everywhere. Sobering and I hope everyone affected by this pulls through safe and sound.

Here's my latest vlog that I've loaded on the Calbuco Volcano topic. I have more to come, but this is what I've got uploaded so far.

On Sunday, we went into the "Red Zone"(Ensenada), to make sure all of our friends, and a number of our neighbors houses had their roofs cleaned. We also, made sure they had all the most important things taken out, that they "Needed". So, while there, I got some vid and photos. I've not done my latest vlog yet, but that should be up today or tomorrow, I'm hoping.

In the mean time, here are few photos I, or my friends have take inside the area.

I actually realized that almost all of what I took is vid. The few photos that I have are of my Trooper there. Imagine that. So, here you go.

I forgot to put up this vlog I did last week. A few weeks after all the Volcano Calbuco eruption excitement, we got a bunch of rain. THis brought down A LOT of pyroclastic materials. Causing some major flooding and land slides. My friends property on lake Todos Los Santos was badly damages. Here's the vid.

MAN those are massive floodings coming out of the Todos los Santos Lake, I've never seen this lake so high watered ... and I've seen 52 autuums ... so it is the south, it may have cities, nice roads,m tourism, but the nature is still untamed there , we are just witnesses only ....

Yeah... Todos los Santos usually rises a bit. Not this much though. They had to clear the road of land slides 3 times in the same week. At one point the road was cut off in 3 places at the same time. The road to Ralun was cut off in 2 places, and the Road to Cochamo was also cut off for a while. This winter has not even really begun, but it's already been difficult.
