Huh? 4X4s come with carpet floor mats??? Why in the world would a manufacturer put carpets into a 4X4?? Bling for posers?

Rip them out and replace them with removable rubber mats so you can hose them and the floor down to get the caked on mud or sand out. I don't think the brand matters so much as long as you can remove them, hose them down & put them back in.

For the Land Rover crowd, I think Exmoor trim makes the best rubber mats. For Series trucks their mats are much superior to the factory rubber mats.

Ditto. You could have it Rhino Lined if the lack of bling bothered you too much.

Yep, OEMs are delivering carpeted floor mats in 4x4s. There have been quite a few other changes in the past four decades too.

I've heard rumors that some of the new vehicles might have actually come from the factory with things like roll up windows and radios installed. Next thing you know, the factories might remove the hand crank engine start option.

Weathertech. I will likely never own any other vehicle again without them.

Aside from the tremendous product they are, the service was astonishing. They phoned me long distance to tell me the order was received and being looked after. They then phoned me again the next day to confirm it had been shipped.

I don't know about posers, but neither of my cars have them. I don't know if that is good or bad or just one of those facts of life. I've heard of them though.

And I did add a radio to one of my cars. After about 25 years of driving that vehicle without one and carefully considering the impact of having one first. I still haven't decided if having a radio is a good idea for the other car yet. I'm taking the concept one car at a time and giving each one the careful consideration the idea deserves.

But both have rubber mats on the floor that can be taken out and hosed down. Just like they came from the factory.
