I sure hope you have a DA air sander trackhead. Windows look great. Are you going with the wilderness style top?

Yeah, I ended up buying one, but I still need to finish with a block sander by hand to get it as smooth as possible.
Decided against the Wildernest style flip out, too much weight to get the bed strong enough. Doing a pop up, mini-wildernest bed type thing.
Might get slowed down on progress with my wife popping a little one out probably tomorrow.
You have a Thiokol Imp, eh? Cool snowcats. I owned a little Bombardier Bombi for a while, but I'd like to get an Imp or Super Imp at some point in my life.
Congratulations on the New Baby. I think about a weeks rest is in order. Let us know if it's a Girl or a Boy.

Only getting an hour or two a day to work on it with the newborn, but getting closer.
Still need to do a ton more sanding, mount the door, add another layer of glass to the interior of the roof, then work getting a clean mating surface between the pop top and the main camper.

Looks good!!!
That's a phenomenal build!
Even more impressive that you made this happen in the minuscule amount of time available to a new father, congratulations on that, too!![]()
trackhead I hope your Wife and the Baby are doing well. Nice to see you get to do a little on the samurai. Keep up the good work.

Any Samurai expert suggestions on suspension?
I want to stay spring under and was considering YJ's for a little lift, a little added robustness, and better ride. But that said, I'm hesitant to stray too far from stock configuration and end up with some goofy handling characteristics. I also considered OME springs, but I'm worried they might be too soft and not support the slightly heavier payload. Lastly, I'm thinking some economical 3" lifted springs from Low Range might be the way to go????
So far, I'm thinking GVW will be 3,000lbs.
I'd go with the OME's, you can get them in 3 different spring rates one being stiff for hauling weight.
