The Vehicross is as futuristic looking today as it was when introduced in 1999. Only about 4000 were imported to USA in 1999, 2000 and 2001. Isuzu based the vehicle on the two door Trooper chassis, and installed an off-road suspension with fancy shocks and locking rear differential. Isuzu campaigned the Vehicross in the Dakar Rally and other off-road events in the early 2000s.
