AT is now having the boxes for the Portable Heater made out of aluminum by a local craftsman. The boxes house an HS2000 heater that puts out 6483 BTU.

Included in the portable kit is the thermostat, 5ft of reinforced exterior grade air duct, 12 volt power cord, and two stage regulator with 5ft hose.

This style of furnace uses a heat exchanger so their is no mingling of the combusted gases with the heated air. Advantages of this system is that none of the water produced during the combustion of propane ends up in the area being heated, it is removed along with the exhaust gases, and the chance of Carbon Monoxide in the living space is greatly reduced.

The HS2000 uses 1 lb of propane for every 3.2 hours of continuous use, as the furnace is activated by a thermostat the furnace will automatically turn on and off depending on the temperature selected.
