The SMB rolled out of the shop Saturday, everything looks good! Now to the engine shop for some 6.0 upgrades.

Looks nice! Give me the details on the 6.0 engine upgrades! I am rolling bone stock engine right now and am interested in upgrades!

Since you live in the nanny state, you'll need to keep it smog legal. So.... I would upgrade with parts from Bulletproof Diesel. (EGR & oil cooler)

Normally, I do an EGR cooler delete, clean the turbo, and install a custom programmer that shuts down the EGR valve electronically. An EGT gauge is nice to have too, I would definitely run one in your rig.

I got my rig smog exempt. Small loophole that not many know about for diesels over 13k GVWR.

Then sir, you want an EGR cooler delete (I like the Sinister kit), and a programmer to shut down the EGR valve (DP-Tuner)

The 6.0 turbo gets clogged up easily with carbon and sometimes rust. The variable vanes are easily stuck when this happens. When the EGR mods are being installed, the turbo must come out so it's the perfect time to have the turbo disassembled & cleaned. With the EGR system working, I would do this at least every 50K. Without it can go much longer.

Throw an EGT gauge on it too.

Had the SMB out & about for some shakedown miles, and everything is great!



And a nice Dodge in the shop for a leveling kit & tires. These trucks are SOOOO nice!!
