Axle possibility?

Will these work for the UJoint conversion? Can I rebuild these to work with the 6" kit?

Having built and rebuilt multiple front 60's for Jeeps and my Ford trucks; $1000 for a stock ball joint front 60 (that needs a complete rebuild) and a standard 10.5 is about $300 to high.

If it was an old school kingpin 60 that was much more rebuildable a $1000 for the pair with higher gears would be about fair price. 4.30 gears are also weird, might be perfect in a diesel rig with 35's though.

99-04 axles most likely have on average 100k miles on them by now, so for my piece of mind that leads to new ball joints, tie rod ends, brakes and unit bearings.

I paid $700 for my 4.10 geared F250 HP60 and 10.5. That is a fair price for 4.10's, 3.73 should be less as you're going to need to regear 90% of the time.

1k or less isn't a bad deal for those axles. A few concerns though… That rear axle isn't a D60, its a Sterling 10.5. And, they never came with a full locker in this generation, only a posi. Last, we'll need the BOM # to confirm if that front axle is a D50 or D60.

These axles are traded at 1000€- that's 1360$!- in Germany. Not in better conditions though.
I was just considering a swap due to a broken Diff, which I will not due to that ( the axle would need new brakes etc.).

Does your rig have an intercooler? If not are you thinking about installing one? I know the 6.0 engines have intercoolers.
