    Default Hello From NH.

One more 2000 Toyota 4Runner to add to the list of Expo rigs...or soon to be with a couple more mods and some time to travel.

I have had this truck for four years now and love being a Toyota owner (coming from VWs). This is actually my second 2000 4Runner, my first, was a 4 cylinder, 5 speed. The 4cylinder was my introduction to the addiction. I got the SR5 from the local Stealership with 100K for 9K. It was Toyota Certified and they put a new timing belt/water pump and new pads and rotors on after I bought it and picked it up. I thought it was a good deal on the truck I really wanted.

I have have done most of the mods myself with help from this forum as well as a couple others. My first mod was OME 881s with top out spacer in the front with a SS diff drop. In the rear I put 890s. I did this in mind of light wheeling here in NE for some extra clearance.

Second mod was a ARB bumper that I came across on Craigslist in NH. It came off a 98' Tacoma that failed the frame recall and was getting crushed. Got it off the guy for $400. I was so pumped to find this here in NH and used, for a good price. And some Hella 500's.

Next up was the extended diff breather...just because it was super easy and the benefits it has for such an easy mod. Piece of mind.

Then I stopped with the mods and did some preventative maintenance:
    147K Tranny service
    150K New Radiator
152K New Steering Rack (Toyota reman, so far so good) poly steering rack bushings and outer tie rods. Of course an alignment.
155K New Pads and had the rotors turned.
Seaform just last week. (seems to have worked, idling a lot smoother)
Oil changed every 5K and air filters when needed.
    8/32nd on tires

With this said..I might be relocating for the winter months out to Utah for some good snow with good friends. Being recently laid off from my job of the last 5 years, I feel like this is a good way to "escape" from the NE and get to see some of the West I've always wanted.

For my road trip is there any other suggestions to maintenance I should do before I leave. Fuel Filter, Plugs?

And I def plan on getting into Moab for some wheeling.

    Thanks,
    Steve

Great looking rig, when you're out in Utah let me know! I can show you around a bit. I grew up in Amherst, NH and have not looked back- the west is best.
