That is just wrong.
I dunno...the things is massive! It is 42" wide and most side walks are 36" or less. I agree with rights of the physicly handicapped, but does he really need a machine that is 6" wider than the sidewalk? Would you like to see this going across the grass at the local park? I imagine the tracks would tear up the grass pretty good.
On private land, I think it would be awesome!![]()
It doesn't look designed for sidewalks, it looks more for off-road, and I can see it's way too wide for many public footpaths.

I guess it would depend on how damaging the treads are to grass and such.
I designed and built an offroad chair for my buddy to use at the beach or on dirt. I went out of my way to make it environmentally friendly, crowd safe, quiet and with a minimal footprint. So far we have had no problems or complaints from rangers or folks.
