It's more a "nice" idea; one you bring up after the fifth beer but that will never see the light of day
Be careful....many of those ideas of mine have come to fruition and either resulted in much success or failed horribly...LOL

I do like your idea a lot, but I know I'll never have that money or ability.

I always keep my wife Cindy up to date on most of these posts or have her log on and read through them. She mentioned yesterday that many of the areas we'd be launching from would be a multi-day exploration where we'd come back to the truck/trailer in the same spot. i.e....Lake Powell, Great Lakes, Yellowstone Lake, Glen Canyon...areas. You could leave the truck, go explore the coastline for a few days and motor back to the trailer.

Only spots you'd need to really be spotted would be the River Systems

Another option that was brought to my attention on another forum is when the Apocalypse hits, Zombies cant swim, so a self-sustainable houseboat will be the ideal escape option.

Plus Threads arent really official without a mention of Zombies, so this has just made this thread official

I have a Mercedes motorhome that I'm in the planning stages of putting a rooftop deck on...this thread gave me an idea!!!!
The roof deck is going to be aprox 7ft wide by 10ft long . If I was to make this removable I could attach it to pontoons or hulls from a small sailing cat... The only problem I would have is getting off the top of the camper.. Giant ramp system?

Zombies don't have to swim. They don't breath, so they can walk on the bottom of the body of water and sneak attack you in the shallows or island anchor.
