    Default Aero's 1999 Cherokee Limited

So back in August I was able to finally buy the Cherokee I wanted due to Financial Aid Refunds from college. A 1999 Jeep Cherokee Limited with leather interior, power everything, and sun roof.

Here is when I first got it:

And the floor in the driver's side (the only hole, but still!)

Shortly after, I bought a 2" BB with spacers and rear AAL, and this is how it sits currently minus the bumper:

It rides like CRAP feeling every bump in the road, death wobble, etc.
Now, it is that time of year again where Financial Aid Refunds come to place, and I am planning on fixing the suspension.

I ordered a Rubicon Express 3.5" Super Ride with their stabilizer and adjustable track bar, and Bilsteins all around:

Also, I have ordered a few more things:

    #784 Injectors

    Rampage H4 Housings

H4 Wiring Harness from LMCTruck.com # 36-3580 as seen in this thread:

HD Headlight Harness write up - Jeep Cherokee Forum

    Dual XHD7714 HD Radio

    Nates4x4 Winch Bumper:

Now the waiting for the goodies to arrive.

I think you're really gonna like that suspension kit. Two things though:

-If the RE sway bar disconnects get noisy(clunks, clanks, etc), consider dropping $125 on a set of JKS Quicker Disconnects (or look around for used examples)

-On 1997 and up XJ's it's almost 100% assured that you're going to have to run a CV style rear driveshaft with a Slip yoke eliminator of some sort.

Google hack-n-tap for one style which uses your stock tailshaft. The other is made by several companies including Advanced adapters I think. It replaces the tailshaft with new housing, shaft, yoke, etc. , but requres you take apart you tcase (hack/n/tap keeps it together)

I ordered a transfer case drop for now while I get an SYE. I will have to go the Hack and Tap way because I have the NP242 transfer case.

I thought this kit did not come with disconnects?
I just saw the extended links, but if it does, then great, until what you mentions happens. JKS for sure.

ah, 10-4 didn't know they sold non-disco kit. That'll work fine! If you find you need more flex after driving it for a while, then maybe upgrade. I tossed my rear sway bar, and seem to have more than enough flex for the stuff I do.

As for the tcase, you're right, you're limited to the HnT kit. Might look around for someone upgrading out of their Np231 w/ sye. There's always a few for sail on naxja, and it would bolt right into your rig. (unless you're smitten with the np242. It's a good case, for sure, just not much aftermarket)

You are also able save a bit of coin and go with a rear driveshaft in front, but a nice "fit to your truck" dshaft is probably a slicker way to go.

Cool build so far. I like your mod choices. Should be a great all-around rig when you're done.

Thanks man, that does look tempting, but I am going to have to hold out for now. Sure the NP242 is not really needed in Miami because I rarely use the Full Time function, but it is pretty cool because it is rare down here.

The idea was to have a good all arounder with this Jeep. It is my daily driver anyway back and forth to university on the highway.

Totally. It's a good case, so why not, right?

Look forward to your installs, brother.

    Cheers!

Just need to put my rear shocks in and sway bar connectors. Besides that, the suspension is pretty much done. Only pictures from my phone. More photos later.

    Finished:

    I drive an orange.
