Dirt Bound Offroad TearDrop Trailer - Popup / out Roof & Back

I am having trouble deciding if the window should go where i traced it, I plan to put a pantry box on that side that the door folds into a table. On the driver side I plan to put a storage box.

The tongue will have a small box for two batteries and propane later on.

Any thoughts on pantry box and window placement?

Are you going to be in bear country? I'm thinking about how it is not recommendable to sleep where you food is prepared or stored.

BTW, the trailer looks like it is coming along great. I've got plans to build a similar one next fall/winter.

Me personally I'd lean towards "cabinets" or storage solutuions you could hang on the side on some sort of track maybe. Both sides are "prime real estate"....so I'd think that through very carefully. Store and secure them inside, when you get to camp, pull them out, hang them and use them.

You can always work out of a couple plastic containers until you finalize it.

Yea I really like your galley with the shelf and stove, I probably will do a permanent mount external cabinet.

I got a few days to think about it, I think HeepSpeed is going to stop by saturday and help me brain storm and I might pick at his vanagon a little.

My original idea was to have food storage inside but this revision of the trailer it is to small in side, Later on I will do a different roof for it and it will be a lot larger inside.

Went to HD tonight and bought two piano hinges one for the door and one for the roof, also got some indoor / outdoor carpet for the floor.

Got the roof cut off and skinned, and started running some wires before i finish framing the walls and insulate.

A productive day today, met with Garret this morning and we worked out a good floor plan. It also involves making the back wall fold down into the bed to allow more standing room.

The main idea for this trailer is to have kitchen inside.

Got the inside ready for paneling today, finished cutting the second window, insulating and wiring.

Plan for tomorrow is to finish the paneling, and then get the rear wall built and the roof and door on.

I also need to find a source for cheap fabric for the pop ups parts.

Not sure why facebook messes the order up.

Thanks! I am under a time constraint, I need it ready by thursday this week for a 4 days event. But I also need to build a new front and rear bumper for the jeep. So I have a busy couple of days ahead of me. \
