    Default Lightforce filters

I recently got a set of LF Stryker 170's with the clear protective filters. I was wondering what other filters everyone thinks are essential or just plain good to have?

    Thanks.

I really like the wide filters. I have four 170 HID's on the truck - center two with the clear, outside two canted out about 15 degs with the wide filter. They throw a nice flat, almost fog light type beam. I also have two of the combo filters, and they do a good job spreading the beam some, yet still throw a pretty fair pencil beam as well. When we head into areas with lots of Elk and Deer, I put them on the center two lights to add to the side lighting.

The link above should give you some idea on what they do.

Man those HID's are sweet. The silverstar's seem to make a huge difference too. The wide filters do a great job as well as the combo's. Much better beam pattern than without filters. Thanks for sharing the pics.

How about the colored filters? Anybody have comments on those?

Running the Yellow fog filters - work fine
    Some prefer the Orange.

I got a pair of 140s mounted on my front bumper. I got a set of the clears they came with, yellows and diffuser filters. The diffusers are on 99% of the time. Plus I am also running Silverstars in the headlamps. The diffusers do a great job on filling in when I run the highbeams.

I still lust after getting a pair of 240s though.

Yeah, 240's would be nice. I was wondering how the crystal blue filters do. Do they really offer increased clarity or not?

Don't waste your money on the blue filters. I can't say anything for the light crystal blue but the darker blue are absolutely terrible. They cut down the light output to much in normal driving conditions and in the rain they light up the rain drops falling directly in front of the truck like a bright blue wall. I thought they looked good when I bought them but now I take them off every time I know i'll be using my lights

    Default Combo here...

I have the 'combo' set in both clear and amber colors. I usually use the ambers, they have been bulletproof the entire time that I have had them.
