    Default Roof rack purchase?

Where is the best place to purchase Thule/Yakima style roof rack components from? I am looking at 2 cross bars, the towers, and landing pads and the use of plusnut type fasteners.

    Thanks in advance.

I found a full set used on Craiglist for my F 250 last year for $150 ,or you could also buy the any set used and order the apropiated clips on line.

I like REI because I like instant gratification, and I can always find what I need and what I didn't know I needed from there

Craigslist! You can find 500+ dollar rack setups for 100-200 bucks all the time. I literally have a large drawer full of Yakima and Thule components, and a shelf full of all the attachments. I have ran Yaks or Thules on all of my cars, and paid full price at REI exactly once. You might need to get the fit kit for the control towers if you buy used though.

    +1

I got a roof rack, plus extra feet, 4 snowboard mounts, and an extra crossbar for $175 back when I bought my jetta. Troll CL, do several cities that are nearby. I just picked up a
Thule Big Mouth rack for $35. I only needed the wheel strap on it, but figured for the price of a set of wheel straps I could get the whole mount. Now if I could just find a cheap kayak mount.
