    Post Screw Autozone

Went to the local Autozone (Cottonwood, Arizona) today to do a parts search. Before even knowing what I want the store manager told me ''I should drive my Rover off a cliff!" After explaining that I REALLY LIKE MY ROVER I told him to go f***k himself...THEN he says have a nice day! I'll NEVER go to an Autozone again! What you do is up to you...

I've never had a problem with them. In fact, I've bought much free oil with the credits from their rewards card... they are usually my go-to parts shop. I've never heard anything but compliments from them either.

Perhaps it would be more productive if you directed this to AutoZone HQ? I bet they get reprimanded, if not fired...

Never had an issue there. this is clearly an employee/manager issues at that store. very unprofessional to the extreme of him. If he is not the manager, you should call and speak with the manager and let him know. i'm sure he would appreciate it. Or write Autozone corporate and let them address it.

I've been to good McDonalds and bad McDonalds, but I still like McDonalds.

It was the store MANAGER and yes, I have contacted corporate. Later I tried NAPA, a world of difference as the counter guy spent 40 minutes trying to help, even calling the company help desk. No dice on a fan (broke a blade) but a appreciated his effort (and told him about this site...his brother just bought a Disco!).

I like my autozone, they remember me now and don't ask if it's a Toyota anymore. They also remember to give me 20% off for military discount to.

Manager or employee, he needs an attitude adjustment. I never had an issue even close to that with the local Autozone staff here in Simi Valley, CA. As someone mentioned, they are my go to store as well.

I've been to Cottonwood. A manager or parts job would be hard to come by these days there. You'd think he might have a lot more common sense and courtesy. I'd definitely let the corporate staff know and not let one bad apple turn you away.

Little OT but how do you like Cottonwood? My wife and I were really, really close to moving there a few years ago but some better opportunities popped up in NC instead...

Hard to believe the manager was being mean spirited, sounds like just a little ribbing because of the reputation LR has as being a less than reliable truck especially when compared to a Toyota. I get all kinds of comments from the brain dead guys at Autozone but don't take it personal because, well, they work at Autozone. I don't even tell them I own a Defender anymore when i go to buy parts there, I tell them I'm buying for a 88 Range Rover, their heads explode from confusion when i tell them I need a part for a 1988 Defender.

You can insult me all you want, but NO-ONE insults my Rover! Them is fightin' words, suh! (Except you guys because, well, you KNOW about this Rover thing)! AS far as Cottonwood is concerned, good and bad. Kinda hot in the summer (not Phoenix hot, but 100 plus...) too close to the Sedona weirdness but if you know where to go and like hiking it's great. And of course the high country and Utah (and the Canyon) are not far away. Trout fishing sucks unless you like frankentrout. ACtually I left my home state of N.C. To move to AZ. Oh, and you better like old folks here...at 57 I'm often near the youngest shopper in the store... And the politics is really off the wall weird. That's Arizona for you.
