Default MacBook Air as photography tool

Here's an article about using the MacBook Air as an integral part of a pro photographer's workflow.

MacBook Air advantages, compares to iPad

The author also has a suggested workflow for the iPad here

While the iPad has advantages in size and weight compared to the MacBook Air, it's not the best choice if you need to make a finished product while traveling. The Air has the processing power to run standard photography software (Photoshop, Aperture etc), in a very portable package.

I have the 13" MacBook Pro and it is pretty portable and light weight. Plus it comes with a cd/dvd drive already with it. Looked at the air but could'nt justify.

Wanted to revive this thread now that many may have purchased / tried the Macbook Air.

I'm curious how well it will handle doing very basic post processing of 12MP raw images using Photoshop CS4? Also I would be willing to switch to Lightroom or Aperture if it performs better on the Air.

My normal post processing workflow is to perform...
    1) unsharp masking
    2) levels adjustment
    3) brightness/contrast adjustment
    4) minor cloning/heal brush if required to remove unwanted artifacts.

Anyone tried that with the Air? How well does it perform when working on say a 12MP raw image using these tools?

    TIA.
