1993 Range Rover Classic LWB with professionally installed 300Tdi. 151,000 miles on body. 65,000 miles on motor

4 speed automatic transmission
LT230 conversion
New 235/70r16 All-season tires on nice Deep dish wheels
New headliner
New front and rear upholstery
Rare 3rd row seating
Nice carpet and nice OEM front and rear floor mats
New A/C compressor
Rear coil spring conversion
Great Divide Expedition front bumper

This is a very nice RRC. I currently have a 97 d1 with Tdi. Thought it would be nice to have a family ride with a Tdi. My wife didn't like the "factor" feel of the Tdi as a daily driver. She wanted a more modern car. After driving a 2006 LR3, she was hooked. She wanted a more modern car. I found a nice LR3, and now I need to sell the RRC.

This is a great running Tdi. It runs better than my D1. It was installed by Doug Shipman of Ships Mechanical in Portland, OR. This was his personal rig. He picked it up in SouthernCalifornia. No rust. It runs great. Doug replaced the viscous unit with an LT230 from a Discovery. Works great. We average 25 mpg in town. The best I got on the freeway is 27mpg. Pretty good for a heavy Range Rover.

Sunroof works great. No leaks. Seat ECU's work great. Mirror ECU's work. I installed a new stereo and 6 new speakers. Sound system works great. Seat heaters do not work.

Also included is a rare third row seat. The seat is rear-facing, and it fits my 4 year old and 11 year old fine. Seat belts installed too. Third row is matching vinyl. My kids really like sitting back there. Reminds me of riding in the back of our Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser we had when I was a kid.

This is a nice RRC. Paint is very good. Very minor clear count peeling on the rain gutters.

I also have a Thule rack which could be included.

I have been holding this for someone, but that apparently didn't work out. I'm asking $13,500, but I'm open to offers. I think this is very reasonable for a nice, rust-free California car with a 300tdi. my wife and I have gotten lots of compliments on this rig, but I can't afford two Tdi's.

This rig is located in Boise, Idaho. I will try and get some more pics tomorrow.

I didn't know you had that classic Jason. I am still running your wheels on mine and loving them. What color is the interior? I wish I could bring myself to sell my VW DoKa, your rig would be a perfect replacement. Does still have the air suspension or springs?

Hope things are well with you,
Craig

Hey, Craig!
Yup. Bought it last year. I really like it. Wish I could keep it, but I've built up my D1 to the point I have a lot more invested in it than the RRC. This one has springs and the tan/saddle interior.

I see shots of you guys doing some off-roaring with the NWOS guys. Hopefully one of these days we can meet up.

I sent you a PM. Give me a ring today or send me your phone number and we will talk. I think I might be getting serious about your rig. I would have to sell my DoKa to do it, so it is a little hard on me, but let's talk.

thanks
Craig

Picasa link to more photos

Ok. I've been asked by a ton of people for more photos.

Unfortunately, the rig is about 75 miles away in my parents' shop so it doesn't have to sit outside at my house here in Boise.

Due to some recent issues at work, I've been working an extra 5 to 8 hours every day since last Sunday, and I haven't had a chance to go down and get more photos.

I collected the photos I had already taken, plus I had my mom take some photos with her cell phone..........so please excuse the lack of detail or the dirty rig.

Thanks,

Jason

Drove this home yesterday. What a beautiful rig. It is a little slow in the hills but very nice and easy to drive. Drove from Boise Idaho to White Salmon WA on one tank and got 24mpg with a strong headwind and 3 mountain passes. Thanks Jason. Great guy to deal with.

Doka I also live in Washington and am considering diesel converted SUVs for when my 6.2 diesel Suburban kicks the bucket (270,000 & counting). I'm having a rough time finding info from the DMV/DOL. Do you anticipate any issues titling this thing in WA? Did this engine/chassis combo ever exist or are you "forging new ground"?

Oh i forgot that in WA it is county, not state that does emissions. I am in King (definitely have emissions here). Diesels are generally exempt, but a 93 gasser isn't. Thus any titling issues would be forced into the light in my county. Seems like if you wanted to switch fuel types on the registration and if the DOL had a problem with it it would be an issue anywhere though. I probably need to go down to an office and physically talk to someone (ugh), but if you fly through with no issues I will take that as a good sign.

Crap like this makes me wish I still lived in Montana. I could launch off on a tirade, but I'm trying to control my internet ranting and I'd just be preaching to the choir here anyway :)

Good luck, and good score on the truck.
