I am looking into XX Skiing too. Snow shoes are slow when in a hurry.
1993 F350 Crew Cab Long Bed 7.3 IDI 5 speed 4x4. Currently stock except for the 255/85R16's.
1983 GMC 6.2L Suburban with sm465/np205 undergoing construtive surgery to include 1 ton axles, crossover steering, 52" front springs, and rear shackle flip. Has 285/70r17 STT's on H2 rims.
Both running biodiesel.
2007 Subaru Outback 2.5i with 5-speed manual.
1965 2WD F100 7.5L with C6.
1967 mustang coupe project on hold waiting for a garage or shop.
1979 CX500 putt arounder.

1. Sledding, nothing better. Wish I could get out more than once every few years.
2. Curling. Only tried it once, but had a great time, it is the only non motorized sport I'll watch on TV...I know...I'm sick!
XX Skiing is great. Used to do it all the time before I moved over the pond. Skiing here just isn't the same as Sweden!!

I used to strap on my ski's and ski to school in the dark, play hockey in PE and then ski home still in th dark. Didn't live in the country either
On the weekends we would go to my Grand Parents in the country and spend all day in the forests skiing.
I suppose the biggest difference is me!and the fact that its 70* outside today here!
I really miss the creaking of real snow under my feet.)
